Welcome to the Marian School Orchestra's page! Orchestra takes place on a Wednesday from 9:30-12noon. The first part consists of tutorials, where each instrument receives individual tuition in the pieces that are being played. From 11:15-12noon, the whole orchestra meets and practices together.
During the year, the orchestra plays for cultural assemblies, the local resthome, the end of year music evening, and last year, performed for a TV talent contest, along with other school groups. Here they did very well!
This year, the orchestra will be playing 'The Lion King Medley', 'Somewhere over the Rainbow', 'Ode to Joy', and 'Can can', among others. I look forward to another excellent year with the orchestra!
