Welcome to Marian School Out of School Music programme. In 2012 we are offering tuition in the following instruments; Clarinet, Flute, Guitar, Saxophone, Trumpet and Violin. Lessons are for 30 minutes and take place before school. It is expected that you and your child make a full year commitment to the programme, as classes are funded by the government and will close if numbers fall below certain levels. Fees per term are $20. Please find enrolment forms at the bottom of the page, or these can be collected from the office. If instruments are hired from the school there is an additional fee of $20 per term. Lessons commence during the week of the 27th February.
Clarinet: Ms Amy Cullen. Day: Wednesday (After School Care Room)
Students must be year 5 or above to participate. Limited clarinets are available to hire from the school. Beginner students may need to purchase a tutor book. Reeds are provided, but may need to be purchased during the year if the provided ones break.
Flute: Ms Anna Billing. Day: Tuesday and Wednesday (Reflection Room)
Students must be year 5 or above to participate. Limited flutes are available to hire from the school. Beginner students may need to purchase a tutor book. Cleaning cloths and cleaning rods are provided.
Guitar: Mr John Maydon. Day: Tuesday and Friday (Blue Room)
Students must be year 5 or above to participate. Own guitars and tutor books must be purchased. Due to popularity, numbers are limited, so a first in first served basis applies. If you miss out on a place, the '4Front School of Guitar' also provide lessons (see the office).

Students need to be year 5 or above. Limited trumpets are available to hire from the school. Beginner students may need to purchase a tutor book. Cleaning cloths and oil are provided.
Violin: Mrs Alison Hepburn Day: Tuesday and Wednesday (Hall)
Students must be year 1 or above to participate. The school has violins to hire if necessary and children will be sized for one at their first lesson. Strings are provided, but if these break must be replaced at your own cost. Rosin may be present in some violin cases, if not, it can be purchased from Shearers for approximately $5.
