Marian Catholic School has traditionally been very strong in Flippa Ball and Water Polo.
We encourage our year 3-6 students to start early and participate in Flippa Ball. This is a fun water based game where children can develop their water confidence and skills. This game is played in a shallow pool at Te Rapa Water World on Sunday afternoons from approximately 2-5pm.
Once children are at year 7 and 8 they are encouraged to play Water Polo. This game is played in the deep dive pool at Te Ra pa Water World on Sunday evenings from approximately 4 to 7.30pm. A good level of swimming is required to play this game and coaching is given.
At Marian Catholic School we aim to enter teams in the Flippa Ball competition in terms 1,2,3 & 4. Water Polo is traditionally played in terms 1, 3 & 4.
